Knee pain
The knee relies on cartilage, ligaments, tendons and the thigh muscles to stay stable, so there are many possible sources of pain: arthritis, cartilage wear, ligament or meniscus injuries, tendon irritation, or a kneecap that doesn't track smoothly. Where the pain is, and what makes it worse, usually points to the cause. Our therapists assess the whole leg and combine laser therapy, and other techniques to reduce pain and improve movement. Read what our clients have to say below.
Chondromalacia patella
Chondromalacia patella is softening and wear of the cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It usually causes a dull ache around or behind the kneecap that gets worse going down stairs, squatting, kneeling or after sitting for a long time, sometimes with a grinding feeling. It's common in runners and young active people, often because the kneecap isn't tracking smoothly in its groove. Our treatment eases pain and inflammation and addresses the muscles that control how the kneecap moves. Read their experiences below.
