What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care focuses on the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system, and how they work together to help you move comfortably. Chiropractors assess, diagnose, and treat conditions that affect movement and cause pain.

At Laser Health Solutions & Panorama Chiropractic in Surrey, Dr. Rob and Dr. Y.Y. provide chiropractic care for patients of all ages, whether you are recovering from an injury or looking after your ongoing health.

How Does Chiropractic Care Work?

Care begins with a thorough examination, so your chiropractor understands what is going on before recommending treatment. Your chiropractor will explain what they propose and why before any treatment begins.

Adjustments are tailored to you. Depending on your needs, your chiropractor may use Diversified (manual) adjusting, Torque Release Technique, the Impulse® adjusting instrument, or extremity adjusting for joints such as the shoulders, hips, knees, and feet.

Chiropractic care may help reduce pain, improve joint movement, ease muscle tension, and support better posture and function.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

Pain relief

Chiropractic care can help ease pain by:

  • Improving movement in stiff or restricted joints.
  • Reducing muscle tension around irritated areas.
  • Addressing posture and movement habits that add strain.

People often come in for back pain, neck pain, headaches related to the neck, and joint pain.

Improved mobility

Adjustments can help joints move more freely, making everyday movements like turning, bending, and lifting feel easier.

Care for all ages

Panorama Chiropractic is a family practice. Techniques are chosen to suit each patient's age, comfort, and needs.

Posture and everyday function

Your chiropractor looks at how you stand, sit, and move, and can recommend exercises, activity changes, and ergonomic products that reduce ongoing strain.

Non-Invasive and Drug-Free
  • No needles or medications.
  • Adjustments are explained before they are done and tailored to you.
  • Can be combined with laser therapy, postural analysis, and custom orthotics at our Surrey clinic.
Is chiropractic care right for me?

Chiropractic care is suitable for people of all ages. Care always starts with a full examination. Before any treatment, your chiropractor explains what they recommend, why, and what the alternatives are, and asks for your consent.

Some situations mean we use gentler techniques, avoid a particular area, or refer you to your family doctor first, for example:

  • osteoporosis, or a recent fracture
  • medication that thins the blood
  • recent surgery on your neck or back
  • new numbness, weakness, or severe pain

Not sure? Mention it when you book, or give us a call. We're happy to talk it through.

What Conditions Can Chiropractic Care Help?

Chiropractic care may be included in treatment for a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, headaches related to the neck, shoulder, hip, knee and other joint pain, sports and work-related injuries, and strain related to posture.

Every patient is different. Your chiropractor will assess your condition and recommend a treatment plan based on your individual needs, symptoms, and goals.

Chiropractic and Laser Therapy, Together

Chiropractic care is non-invasive and drug-free, making it an option for people looking for a conservative approach to pain and recovery.

At Laser Health Solutions & Panorama Chiropractic in Surrey, we can combine chiropractic care with low-intensity laser therapy, PostureScreen postural analysis, and custom orthotics when appropriate, giving you a personalized plan designed to help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you love.

What to Expect

Your first visit. You'll complete an intake form and talk with your chiropractor about your health history, your symptoms, and your goals.

Your examination. Your chiropractor will assess your posture, movement patterns, and range of motion, with orthopaedic or neurological tests as needed.

⚠️ Verify (Dr. Rob): should the examination also mention computerized scans (the Insight Subluxation Station)? If yes, add "and computerized scans" to the sentence above. Remove this note either way.

Your report of findings. At a follow-up visit, your chiropractor reviews the results with you, explains the treatment options, and answers your questions. Treatment begins only once you agree to the plan.

We don't take X-rays at the clinic. If imaging is needed, we'll refer you to your family doctor.

We don't bill insurers directly. You pay at the clinic, and we give you receipts for your extended health claim.
