Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

Laser Health Solutions Canada Corporation ("Laser Health Solutions", "we") operates clinics in Calgary, Alberta and Surrey, British Columbia. We are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us online and in our clinics. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and how we protect it. It follows Alberta's and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Acts (PIPA).

Our Basic Commitment

Personal information is private and confidential. We use physical, electronic and managerial safeguards to protect it. It is stored securely, is accessible only to designated staff, and is used only for the purpose you provided it for. We never sell or rent personal information.

Information you give us: appointment requests

When you use the Book an Appointment form, we collect:

- your name, phone number and email address

- the clinic you choose

- the condition or reason for your visit, and any notes you add

- whether you have extended health insurance, and how you heard about us (if you answer)

We use this only to contact you about your appointment. Your request is:

- emailed to the clinic you chose, and a confirmation is emailed to you;

- saved in our secure website administration area so staff can follow up. Requests are deleted automatically: 30 days after they are marked closed, and in any case after 90 days.

The form also records your device's IP address with the request, and uses it briefly to limit repeated submissions (to prevent abuse). Once you become a patient, your clinical records are kept in our clinic systems under the rules that apply to health records. Please don't include detailed medical history in the form; you can discuss it with us at your appointment.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time). We use them only to keep the site secure and working, and they are not used to identify individual visitors. This website makes use of Google Analytics.

Cookies

This site uses two small cookies, neither of which tracks you across other websites:

- lhs_clinic remembers whether you chose our Calgary or Surrey clinic, so the site can show that clinic's details. It lasts one year. You can change your choice at any time with the clinic switch at the top of the page.

- A session cookie is set to protect forms against forged submissions. It expires after about two hours.

Third Party Services

Some features load content from other companies, which may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:

- Google Maps, only when you tap Show map on a clinic map;

- Videos in our Video Library and on some pages, played through Bunny.net, YouTube or Vimeo;

- Online booking for returning patients through [Jane App], which has its own privacy policy.

Release of Information to Third Parties

We release personal information to third parties only with your consent, except where:

- release is required or authorized by law or regulation (for example a subpoena), or is requested by a government or insurance agency conducting an investigation or proceeding; or

- our records indicate a person may be engaged in fraudulent or deceptive activity that a government or insurance agency should be made aware of.

Your Rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use (which may limit how we can help you). Contact us as shown below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes do not affect how we use information collected before the change. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Questions or Concerns

If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle personal information, please contact our privacy officer, Andrew Baron at owner@laserhealthsolutions.com or 403-235-2737, or write to us at 2539 5 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB T2N 0T4.

If we cannot resolve your concern, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca) or of British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
