I'm a registered massage therapist and manual osteopath at Laser Health Solutions in Calgary. I've worked in the therapy field for more than 20 years, and I've been at this clinic since 2019. I'm also a co-owner of the clinic.
How I got here
I've loved exercise and physical activity since I was young. I played cricket, badminton, volleyball, and soccer, and I got into weight training. That interest in health and human movement led me to a career where I could use my hands and my knowledge to help people move better. What I enjoy most is helping my patients get moving better, deal with pain, and work toward their health and fitness goals.
How I treat
I believe each person and each injury is unique, so I don't follow a fixed routine. I combine several hands-on techniques, depending on what you need:
- Manual osteopathy, including osteoarticular manipulation, craniosacral release, and visceral manipulation
- Massage therapy, including myofascial release and active release
- Exercise and education, so you know what to do between visits
- Low intensity laser therapy, used alongside hands-on treatment
What I do differently starts at your first visit. Alongside a standard assessment, I look at how your lifestyle affects your movement. I use functional movement screens and running and gait analysis from the start, so I can see how your particular injury behaves. I'm trained in both.
Who I see and what I commonly see
I work with competitive athletes, weekend warriors, and people who seldom exercise. Wherever you're starting from, my goal is to help you move better and manage your day-to-day life.
- Shoulder pain, including rotator cuff injuries
- Low back pain
- Wrist pain
- Heel pain
- Knee pain
What I want patients to know
Health is an active journey. I want you to understand your own body, and I teach you tools to stay healthy and pain-free well after you leave the clinic. That applies whether you're training for a competition or haven't exercised in years.
Teaching
I've been an instructor at MaKami College for more than two years. I mentor and supervise students in clinic and help plan their lessons. I enjoy helping the next generation of therapists in our community.
