Having been a commercial traveler for forty years and having driven in excess of one and a half million miles it is no surprise that the long hours spent behind a steering wheel and climbing in and out of a car had an adverse effect on my back. During that time I had various treatments to alleviate the constant ache in my back but these only gave temporary relief.

As an avid hockey player I had been suffering from aches and pains that I associated with getting older. In September I injured myself significantly enough that I had to seek chiropractic relief. After 6 weeks of chiropractic treatments and being very cautious in my movement, I tried to play hockey again. I ended up injuring myself even worse than before. I hurt my back bending over one day and ended up falling over in pain. I was unable to straighten my back when walking and I had low back pain for over seven months. For two and a half months I was on heavy medications that were making me sleep 12 to 16 hours per day.

I am glad that I was convinced to go to LaserHealth Solutions. I tend to suffer for a long time with my pain problems before doing anything. I had 12 treatments over five weeks and felt absolutely great. I walked out of their office with no pain. During my drive home, 15 minutes after leaving their office, I was rear-ended after a city bus pulled out in front of me.

Three years ago I was hospitalized for severe pain I was experiencing in my lower back. After one week in the hospital I was sent home with many pain meds that didn't help. The stress of life brought on my low back pain. I‘ve had low back pain with pain running down my left leg for over two years. It was pretty consistent. Eight months of IMS treatments loosened my muscles but it never cleared up the pain in my low back. My doctor wanted to send me for cortisone shots but I was not too excited about that prospect.

I started laser treatments anyway for the inflammation in my foot and noticed a difference right away. However, I had to interrupt my foot treatments because of acute back pain. I had tremendous improvement after the first laser treatment on my back. I completed the second treatment on my back and have been pain free since!

In July 28 I was diagnosed with two bulged discs after suffering for six months with terrible lower back pain. I was unable to work or walk and I was in a lot of pain. I had two (cortisone) injections which didn't seem to help, nor did Chiropractic, Acupuncture, IMS, traction beds, or Physiotherapy. I was using a walker to get around and needed a wheelchair to go anywhere with my children.

I heard about laser from a friend and as with everything else decided to give it a try. If was difficult to get myself to the clinic, but was pleased that they could help me (to position me) while being on my side for comfort.

I started coming to LaserHealth Solutions as a last attempt at pain relief. My back muscles were in a constant contracted state, prohibiting me from standing, sitting, walking for more than 15-20 minute intervals, with many hours downtime flat on the floor between up times. I have been suffering with excruciating pain in the mid-back between shoulder blades and electric jolts down left and right arms (cervical radiculopathy) after a serious neck injury in July 2 following a 20-foot fall while hiking.

During neck surgery for spinal cord compression, some nerves for my right upper arms and mid back were cut and I lost most feeling in my back. Quality of life was non-existent and in January 28, I felt like jumping off a bridge to end this excruciating pain (morphine only took the edge off). Neurologists and neurosurgeons said that there was not much they could do, as the muscles spasms that were present 100% of the time were probably as a result of stiff-person syndrome' (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and its cause / prevention/reversal is unknown. For most of the past 7½ years, I have been expecting only 1-3 hours of sleep/day, as the pain would keep waking me up.

I developed sudden back pain after slightly twisting my back while moving on a bench. Pain was radiating around both my rib areas. I had difficulty walking and getting out of bed and I had been taking Tylenol Arthritis frequently for the pain which at that point was a 9 out of 10.

I originally hurt my back in a parachuting mishap in the military back in 1949. All our activity required us to be loaded up with equipment. I had a shovel strapped across the small of my back just above my belt. Falling a little to fast, I had to do a rear roll on landing to smooth out my fall. That was when the shovel jammed into my low back. It laid me out so badly a couple of my buddies had to get me up and carry my equipment as we moved out. I managed to see my MO (Medical Officer) where he said I was fine. Suffering with pain over many months I eventually ended up in hospital for back surgery for a herniated disc. Unfortunately this was the end of my military career. Almost 50 years later, I was still having a nagging pain in my lower back every time I had to bend over working around the house. After years of chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy appointments, and specialized exercise and stretching regimens, I had become reconciled to periods of relative pain free activity followed by some sort of innocent activity that would aggravate my whole condition: turning suddenly, bending over to tie my shoes, getting up from the couch, sleeping the wrong way'. This last time I felt a wrenching crunch that went down my right buttock and into my leg while lifting a box that couldn't have weighed more than 5 kilograms. I injured my right side of the lower back and pelvis from falling off a horse. I had acute pain on the lower back muscle and the buttock area and I could not walk with my back straight; sitting down and getting up from a chair was a big challenge and not to mention putting on my pants without sharp pain. I had very little flexibility since. The doctor from the emergence center told me that I had neither broken bone nor hair line fracture on my spine, and he prescribed me Advil and ice pack and send me home.

I was told that my pelvic was rotated outward and a few vertebrates were also twisted due to damaged soft tissues and tight muscles and tendons. I am 69 years old and I hurt my back lifting a suitcase preparing for a visit to the USA. I was unable to stand, sit or lie down and was in great pain. I am apprehensive of taking pain killers as I had donated one kidney a few years back and don't want to risk losing the one I have. I tried some ointment and heat fomentation but it did not work.

leave, I awoke with a twinge in my back that worsened over the course of the day, to the point that I could not even take a step without gasping. That evening, we had a meeting with a coordinator who facilitated a planning process for our son. She saw my dilemma and shared that she had a similar problem addressed successfully by a clinic called LaserHealth Solutions. In desperation, I called but they were fully booked...however, Suzanne, the lady that look my call was most sympathetic and offered to take me into their home that evening for a treatment! I could not believe her sincere concern, especially for a complete stranger.

They set up a portable massage table in their living room that evening. Over the course of the next two hours, Blaine Skleryk manipulated my back, by using my own muscle power with no pain involved and then ended the session with a laser treatment. I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend LaserHealth Solutions. Prior to commencing treatment I was having recurring pain in my shoulder, which left me unable to perform even the most routine daily chores. I felt that I was becoming a complete mess, constantly in pain and didn't know what or how to do anything about it - except take medication and pain killers. After bring my husband for laser treatment each time and finding out that it really worked for him -- I decided to give it a try. Dr. Rob told me that with Polymyalgia Rheumatica it would control the pain but wasn't a cure. After a few treatments I started noticing a change - a really big change. I was feeling much better and I wasn't in the pain killer bottles. Friends who hadn't seen me for months said I was walking without a limp and other tell me how much better I look. And yes I feel much better -- I want to do more activities and going for walks is not a problem anymore. This has been the best that I have ever felt in a long time. I've had sciatic nerve trouble since my knee surgery in 2002. I am a man, 65 and a half years old and not ashamed to admit I had tears running down my cheeks because of my back pain. I was afraid to sit down. I was afraid to lie down. It just hurt so badly. I was only getting 2-3 hours sleep a night. My wife saw an ad in the newspaper for LaserHealth Solutions and in eight treatments over four weeks, the rest is history. I have a new outlook on life now. I pride myself in getting 8 hours sleep a night and I'm walking and shopping again with my wife. I would recommend it to anyone - young and old. It's unfortunate that I didn't discover LHS earlier. The staff has been very professional and helpful with all the great manual muscle work. They made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. I don't really care how laser works. I had back pain for 3 years. It got to the point where it was very difficult to move. Even normal activities like getting in and out of the vehicle and bending over to reach into the sink were painful. That burning pain of inflammation was the worst. It felt like I was on fire! It wouldn't settle down no matter what I did. My back bothered me at night too. I'd roll over in my sleep and wake up due to sharp pain.

After my first treatment at LaserHealth Solutions, I noticed a big change – then gradual improvement from there. About half way through my 11 treatments, I took a little downturn, with pain after doing some light yard work. But they explained some up and down is normal. And after that it was all improvement again.

Now I'm doing all my regular activities. And I can work on the boat engine, kneeling and bending in all sorts of positions – no problem. My mobility is excellent now. It's great to have said good-bye to that pain.
